'Professor Winston has created a brilliant science book that goes beyond just experiments to help children learn and apply many basic scientific principles. There are clear, concise directions and photographs for the experiments. The reading level makes it possible for children to be able to read the material themselves. To increase interest, history and practical application bits are also included with the activities. This book would be appropriate for kids of all ages and for every purpose. It aims and succeeds at making science fun. My 17 year old was just as excited about doing the experiments as my 10 year old twins were!'
